I believe that  photographs are not just about capturing an image, but a story that will evoke a a vivid memory of these fleeting moments.

Your wedding day photos should not only be beautiful to look at, but you should feel them too. It's about the laughter that filled the room as you tried to cut the cake, the tear that rolled down your parent's cheek during the vows, and the wild abandon of the dance floor. These aren't merely photos; they are windows to relive the joy and the excitement of your special day.

If you believe, like I do, that wedding photography is more than just clicking a button, that it's an art form capable of preserving emotions and telling the full story of your wedding day, then you might have just found your photographer.

I don't just take pictures; I turn moments into memories.

For those who see value in not just preserving the day but in creating a treasure trove of moments that speak volumes, welcome. You are in the right place. Let's embark on this beautiful journey together, crafting your story, capturing the fleeting moments, and turning them into a timeless narrative.

If turning moments into memories resonates with you, let's connect. You might have just found your photographer.

Inquire here. I will respond in 2-3 business days by email. If you haven't heard back from me, check your spam/junk folder.

II. Consultation.

If your date is available, we will discuss your wedding vision and see if my photography aligns with your wedding day vision.  I typically like to chat over the phone/video call, but if that's "not your thing," I get it - email works just fine for me too!

Once you've said "yes!" to having me as your photographer, I will draw up a contract and invoice. To secure your date, the contract must be signed and retainer paid. Your balance can be paid easily through my secure payment processing system by debit or credit, or by e-transfer.

Johanne B.

FAQ

Do you provide sneak peek images?

Sneak peek images are an exciting preview of your special day. I provide a small sample (10-30 images) 2 weeks after your wedding.

What does your editing process entail?

Editing includes tone and white balance adjustment, exposure adjustment, cropping and straightening the images, and sharpening. I do not remove braces, add or remove people from a photo, change the colour of clothing, blemish removal on specific guests (eg. outside of the bride and groom, wedding party and immediate family), replace faces, make bodies smaller/taller etc.

How many pictures will we receive?

All acceptable images. I do not put maximum limits on the number of images I provide because my approach is to capture moments as they happen - this might mean getting 3 images of the same moment, with different expressions or reactions.

When will I receive my images?

I understand that eagerly anticipating your wedding photos is part of the excitement, and I appreciate your enthusiasm! My commitment is to deliver a meticulously crafted and personalized collection that truly reflects the magic of your special day. The processing time for your complete wedding album is estimated to be between 12-16 weeks.

It's important to note that each image undergoes a thorough and individual hand-editing process to meet my standards. This meticulous approach ensures that every image in your final collection meets my standards and contributes to a cohesive and visually stunning narrative.

What is your payment process?

I aim to make the payment process convenient and flexible for my clients. Upon booking my services, I require an initial retainer to secure your wedding date. The remaining balance is split into two equal payments - spaced out evenly between the booking date and wedding date. The final payment is due one month prior to your wedding day. This allows me to wrap up administrative details well in advance, allowing me to fully focus on capturing the magic of your special day.

Payments can be made conveniently by debit, credit card, or e-transfer.

I believe in transparency and want to make the payment process as stress-free as possible, allowing you to focus on the excitement of your upcoming wedding. If you have any specific concerns or would like to discuss a customized payment plan, feel free to reach out.

Do you offer engagement sessions?

Yes, I do! I highly recommend including one in your wedding photography package as it allows us to get to know each other before the big day. It also provides you and your partner the chance to get comfortable in front of the camera in a more relaxed way with less pressure than a wedding day. Lastly, your engagement session provides valuable information that I use to create your customized wedding day shot list.

Can we provide a shot list or specific poses we want?

Absolutely! Your input and preferences are invaluable in ensuring that your wedding photos truly reflect your vision and style. I welcome any shot lists or specific poses you have in mind. Open communication is key to capturing the moments that matter most to you.

While I have a trained eye for capturing candid and spontaneous moments, having insight into your preferred shots helps me tailor my approach to your unique taste and expectations. Your shot list acts as a guide, and I appreciate the opportunity to create a personalized plan that aligns with your vision for the day.

Feel free to share any must-have shots, specific poses, or even your pinterest "inspo" board. This collaborative approach allows us to work together seamlessly, ensuring that your wedding album is a true reflection of your love story.

What equipment do you use?

During the wedding ceremony I use two camera frames. This setup enables me to seamlessly capture a variety of perspectives without being intrusive. One camera is equipped with a wide-angle lens to capture the grandeur of the ceremony, while the other is equipped with a telephoto lens, allowing me to capture intimate moments up close without being obtrusive.

Post-ceremony, I transition to a single camera frame and switch to a smaller zoom lens. This lens is ideal for capturing portraits and candid moments with precision and clarity. It allows me to stay at a comfortable distance, ensuring that I can capture genuine emotions and interactions without interrupting the natural flow of the moment.

I believe in capturing moments organically, and the use of a zoom lens is instrumental in achieving this. It allows me to blend into the background, ensuring that guests can fully enjoy the celebration without feeling the presence of the camera. This approach results in authentic and heartfelt images that tell the unique story of your wedding day.

Specifically, the gear I use is:
1. Canon R6 Mark II dual slot mirorrless frame
2. Canon R8 mirrorless frame
3. 70-200 f2.8 L series zoom lens
4. 24-70 f2.8 zoom lens
5. 35mm f1.8 prime lens
6. 50mm f1.4 prime lens

I also use on-camera flash for receptions when the lighting is more difficult, and occasionally a fill light for indoor bride/groom prep images if natural light is not sufficient.

Do you travel?

Absolutely! I love capturing love stories in new and unique locations. While I am based Moncton, NB, I am more than willing to travel to be a part of your special day, whether it's a destination wedding or a celebration in a different city or country.

For destination weddings, I offer customizable packages to accommodate travel expenses and ensure a seamless photography experience for you. Exploring different places and cultures through my lens is an exciting opportunity, and I'm thrilled to be a part of your wedding adventure, wherever it may take us.

If you're planning a destination wedding or have a specific location in mind, let's chat! I'm here to discuss the details and make sure your love story is beautifully captured in the perfect setting.
