Every now and then, as a photographer, you come across a couple whose love is so vibrant and authentic that it radiates in every frame. Ella and Connor are one of those couples. I first met them in 2023 when I had the honor of capturing the wedding of their friends, Nicole and Kyle, where both Ella and Connor stood by their sides. Even then, their playful personalities and undeniable connection shone through, so when Ella reached out to ask me to photograph their own wedding, I was absolutely thrilled!
This past fall, we met at a nature park in Oromocto, just outside Fredericton, for their engagement session. It was late October, but you’d never guess it from the weather we ended up with that day. The drive there had me worried—dark clouds loomed overhead, the wind was howling, and rain was pouring down. But as I approached the session location, the clouds parted, revealing a bright blue sky and mild temperatures. It felt like the universe knew this session was meant to happen.
The nature park was the perfect location for Ella and Connor, who both have a love for the outdoors. We explored the marsh boardwalk, wandered through wooded areas, and even stopped at a charming covered bridge. Each setting felt like it was made for them, and their personalities truly came to life with every shot. Whether they were laughing together, sharing playful moments, or holding each other close, their love and connection were undeniable.
By the end of the session, the sun broke through completely, blessing us with a perfect golden hour to wrap up the shoot. The warm, golden light added such a magical touch to their photos, enhancing the emotion and joy of the moment.
Ella and Connor’s engagement session included 15 images, but their connection and the beauty of the day were so inspiring that I delivered 71 photos in total! Every single frame told its own story of their love—playful, heartfelt, and deeply genuine. From the way they exchanged quiet smiles to the subtle, loving touches, their bond was impossible to miss.
