There’s something incredibly grounding about a wedding day that feels so deeply personal—where every detail is rooted in who the couple is, where they come from, and what truly matters to them. Chanelle and Phil’s wedding was exactly that. From start to finish, it was a beautiful, emotional celebration of family, connection, and coastal life.

Chanelle is a lobster fisherman who works alongside her dad, so it was only fitting that the day began by the sea. She shared a private first look with her father on the beach—a quiet, meaningful moment between two people who’ve spent their lives working on the water together. From there, she made her way to the cliffs where Phil was waiting, and they shared their own first look surrounded by the sound of waves and the salty breeze. It was such a powerful reminder of how love and landscape are often woven together.

But the most unique part? The boat.

After their first looks, Chanelle and Phil (along with their wedding party) stepped aboard August Rush—Chanelle’s father’s lobster boat—for a ride on the open water. It was the perfect prelude to their vows, a short and sweet escape that was uniquely theirs. They docked and headed to their ceremony site just steps from the sea, where Chanelle walked down the aisle hand-in-hand with their daughter, her veil dancing in the wind. With the ocean behind them and loved ones all around, they promised each other forever.

After the ceremony, the celebration continued dockside. Following their grand entrance, Chanelle and Phil shared their first dance as husband and wife—a moment full of emotion and happy tears. But what happened next left hardly a dry eye in the crowd.

Phil danced with their daughter, holding her close as the music played. And then Chanelle shared a dance with their sons. These dances weren’t just sweet—they were deeply emotional tributes to the family they’ve built together, and the love that anchors them. It was a beautiful reminder that weddings aren’t just about two people, but about the little lives that grow from that love too.

The rest of the evening was filled with dancing, joyful hugs, and sneaking out to catch the sun setting behind the clouds during golden hour. The love and connection between this family was unmistakable. It was a day I won’t soon forget—and I’m honored to have captured it all.

Chanelle and Phil, thank you for trusting me to document your story. It was a privilege to witness your day, your love, and the beautiful life you’ve created.
