This past November, I held a full day of Christmas mini sessions at the beautiful Lady Smith Manor. It was a magical day filled with the joy and excitement of the holiday season, and today I’m sharing images from one family who attended—the Hache family. Miriam, the talented owner of the manor, created an enchanting "Milk & Cookies for Santa" theme, which set the stage for these festive sessions. From writing letters to Santa, playing the piano together, and decorating a Christmas tree, the Hache family embraced every moment.
When it comes to sessions with young children, it’s important to remember that they can be unpredictable. Following their lead is key to capturing genuine, heartfelt moments. Interacting as a family, being present in the moment, and simply having fun allows me to capture those candid moments that truly reflect your family’s love and connection. The Hache family was a perfect example of this. With children under six, posing can feel uncomfortable or unnatural for them, so letting go of expectations and focusing on enjoying the session makes all the difference.
The Hache family was such a pleasure to photograph. Their session was filled with laughter, love, and the kind of joy that makes the holiday season so special. The images from their session beautifully showcase the bond they share and the fun they had together. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do—capturing the genuine connections and memories that families will cherish for years to come.
I can’t wait to return to Lady Smith Manor in 2025 for my annual spring and Christmas mini sessions. Stay tuned for more details, and I look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new families as we create more magical memories together.
