From the very first moment I met N + M during their beach engagement session, I knew their wedding day would be something extraordinary. N is one of the most detail-oriented and organized brides I have ever worked with, and she poured her heart into bringing her vision to life. When I arrived on the morning of the wedding, she had prepared an entire tote filled with accessories for flat lays — making my job an absolute dream. Every single element was thought out with intention, from the décor to the personal touches that told their story.

The day began at the Canvas Hotel, an industrial loft-style space filled with floor-to-ceiling windows spanning two floors. The natural light was incredible, creating the perfect setting for those first moments. N, along with her bridesmaids and closest family, got ready in one of the suites — the atmosphere buzzing with excitement. Meanwhile, M and his groomsmen enjoyed a relaxed start to the day in their own suite.

Before seeing each other, the couple chose to share an emotional first touch outside the hotel. Hand in hand, with a corner wall separating them, they read their vows aloud. Tears fell, laughter followed, and it was one of the most moving parts of the day.

Afterwards, we traveled to the historic Castle Manor — a four-story Gothic Revival landmark built between 1906–1908 in Moncton. Nestled among trees, the castle felt like it was pulled from the pages of a fairytale. Against this backdrop, M’s red RCMP uniform made him look every bit the prince charming. With my second shooter, Jenny, we captured a mix of romantic bride and groom portraits as well as joyful wedding party photos before heading to the reception.

When guests arrived at Tire Shack Brewery, they were greeted with décor that perfectly reflected N’s creative vision. She had designed and built much of it herself, including a stunning backdrop wall covered in black-and-white photos of the couple through the years — even featuring images from their beach engagement session. The industrial event space, paired with a classic black-and-white palette, created a timeless and modern atmosphere.

Their ceremony was beautifully unique. Surrounded closely by their loved ones, N + M exchanged vows and rings in an intimate circle, followed immediately by a champagne toast to celebrate their “I dos.”

From there, the evening flowed effortlessly. A choreographed first dance set the tone, followed by laughter during the classic shoe game. Guests filled the dance floor, celebrating N + M in a way that was unhurried, joyful, and stress-free.

More than anything, N + M wanted to be present with their family and friends — not pulled away for hours of formality. Thanks to N’s incredible planning and the support of a wonderful vendor team, that vision became a reality. The day felt timeless, elegant, and deeply personal, just as they had dreamed.

It was an honour to document their story, from windswept engagement portraits on the beach to this unforgettable celebration at Tire Shack Brewery.
